WM Phoenix Open

The Phoenix Open is back for more fun and great charity work in 2012. While it may seem crowded and overwhelming, there are a lot of great events going on that all ages will enjoy. The tournament starts on Monday and will last for 7 days.

Monday - Die hard golf fans will love this day as they can peak in on practice rounds and get some pictures and autographs. Phil Mickleson is a regular at this famous tournament and is known to be a great sport when it comes to pictures and autographs!

Tuesday - Grab the kids and those who want to see some celebrities. There will be a junior golf clinic, motivational speeches and a trick shot show. At 11am, the CBS Outdoor Special Olympics gets under way with over 30 celebrities hitting the ball around for an hour! Luis Gonzalez, former AZ Diamondbacks Outfielder, is among the celebrities that will be participating this year.

Wednesday - Lots of great charity events will be taking place as well as the opening of the much talked about Bird’s Nest.

Thursday through Sunday - rounds 1-4 of the tournament will take place. If you are heading out to the open on Saturday the 4th, be sure to wear GREEN in support of the green/eco-sensitive efforts of the tournament! Also, the Goo Goo Dolls will be performing on Thursday night at the Bird’s Nest! If you are looking to avoid the crowds, head to the tournament on Sunday.

Each year the Thunderbirds raise a lot of money to be donated to charities all over the valley. Click HERE for more details on all the good being done this year.

…That you can get lots of FREE food during the month of your birthday?

Who wouldn’t like FREE food from great restaurants around the valley to make your Birthday month even better? Restaurants don’t widely advertise that they do this, but we did some snooping for you all and found some great restaurants giving away free food gift certificates when you sign up for their email clubs.

We know what you are going to ask next – “so that means I am going to get emails from them on a regular basis”? And we would say YES, but it’s not that big of a deal, especially if you want FREE food! It is as simple as deleting the emails you don’t want to read and waiting for the good stuff to arrive!!

Here is a list of a few deals to look forward to…..

*$10 off your meal at Z’Tejas

*Free order of Skillet Queso and Chips from Chili’s

*$30 towards your Birthday meal at Benihana’s

*A free meal at The Keg Steakhouse
